MediaPlayer Service

This service is one that remote controls an instance of the MediaPlayerClient, which is a tiny tray application that can be ran on any computer on the network. For example, the Media Center PC that is connected to the livingroom stereo.

When you run the MediaPlayerClient on a networked computer, you can use the MediaPlayer Service to remotely connect and manage the music that runs the MediaPlayerClient. This makes it possible to remote control your music from your mobile phone, your other PCs, without having to turn on the livingroom PC.
